This was our last family gathering with both of the grandmas, (Colby's great Grandmas). It was Colby's first and only time to meet them. Granny Irene passed away on 1/2/08. She was a few weeks shy of turning 93. Granny Jess passed away a few months latter, 4/22/08. She lived to be 99! Colby was Irene's 10th great grandchild and Jess' only great grand child. They will both be missed dearly.

Winnie Palmer Hospital

Here is the hospital where Colby was delivered and we stayed for 4 days. It is a state of the art hospital dedicated exclusively to women and babies. It opened last spring, May 30, 2006. We had a spacious private room on the 8th floor with our own bathroom. There was a flat screen television, and wireless Internet. Jason had a full-size Murphy bed. Our room had an over sized window from floor to ceiling with a view of downtown Orlando's skyline. There was a menu to order my meals from. I just picked up the phone and placed my order and someone would deliver it about 20 minutes later. The first 24 hours I was on a liquid diet but it got better from there. For my first hospital stay, it couldn't have been a better experience!
